An Email Trace is the process of reversing an email address to show the owner of the email address. Email Trace Investigations are NOT “sure fire”. The client needs to understand this, and acknowledge that while there is a strong possibility that we can determine the owner of a given email address, there are no guarantees. RMRI, Inc. does not make any promises or guarantees that we will find the owner of an email address. What we can tell you is that we use every known methodology to determine who the owner of an email address is, from the simple and non-technical methods to the more complex and technical methods. This is why our fee for this service is set at what it is. In addition to using all known methodologies to determine the owner of an email address, we also validate the results of our Email Trace by confirming them with three (3) different and separate sources for a match. This is a very time consuming process in the easiest of scenarios in an Email Trace, and we charge for our time and skill. An Internet Profile is a profile of a person’s activities while they are online. An Internet Profile relies on exhaustive searches with various software and Internet applications to “footprint” a subject’s movement while on the Internet. A proper Internet Profile is very time consuming. Literally hundreds of search sites are used to conduct this kind of research. Each piece of data that is obtained must be read, sifted through for pertinent content, validated for data integrity, and categorized to produce a comprehensive report. This can take up to sixteen (16) hours of continuous work.

A Forensic Hard Drive Examination is a very complicated process that involves analyzing the hard drive of a computer bit by bit to find evidence that can be used in court. The process is time consuming, requires great attention to detail, and absolutely HAS to adhere to certain standards to be accepted in a court of law. The Examiner MUST know what he  or she is doing, understand the process that is required to make his or her evidence admissible by court standards, be willing to spend enormous amounts of time going over very detailed data, and must know how to communicate very technical issues in an easy to understand way. The reports that are produced from this type of examination are lengthy; RMRI, Inc. records video footage of the actual examination, and always uses two (2) competent computer technicians to do the examination, to insure there is a witness to back up our results. If these examinations are done correctly, they can take up to two (2) weeks to complete. RMRI, Inc. does two (2) Forensic Hard Drive Examinations on two different computer platforms, and compares the results for data integrity. A Penetration Test of a Network or a stand-alone Computer is the process of determining the vulnerabilities of a group of networked (connected) computers or one single stand alone computer in hopes of strengthening the network or the stand alone computer to a secure point, so that it can’t be compromised by technical hacking attempts. This process has to be thorough, there is much data to be reviewed and researched in most cases, and the results must be validated rigorously for false positives and false negatives. Where necessary patches can be deployed remotely, they will be after it is determined that the patches will benefit system security and not hinder computer operations and functionality. A report is then generated with all of the vulnerabilities that were found, all of the patches that could be remotely deployed, update recommendations, and links to the patches that could not be remotely deployed. RMRI, Inc. uses several state of the art port scanners and vulnerability scanners, and hand tests each found vulnerability. RMRI, Inc. uses multiple platforms to scan the remote system from, and a variety of scanners and exploitation software to arrive at the most accurate vulnerability assessment possible. All scan results, and responses to the individual exploit testing are made available with a summary report that details the level of risk the system is assessed at in great detail. The scanning phase of this service alone can take up to four (4) days.

A National Personal Location Report is a report that details a subject’s whereabouts, ways and means for getting in touch with the subject, a history of the subject’s movements for the last ten (10) years of their life, and a detail of the subject’s past and current lifestyle.

An International Personal Location Report is a report that gives the location of a subject anywhere in the world, with one way to contact the subject, and with some peripheral information about the subject. This type of reports requires utilizing contacts in various places around the globe. Due to the fact that this report requires some subcontract work in most cases, we have set a high end fee to cover all possible charges for subcontract work.

A Cursory Background Report is just what it indicates it is. It is a cursory examination of a subject’s background. This report will return basic identifiers on the subject (DOB, Truncated SSN, First Name, Middle Initial, and Last Name) and address history on the subject. This report may return some criminal record information on the subject, civil history on the subject, basic asset information on the subject, known associates, relatives, and may return political affiliation.

A Thorough Background Examination is an in-depth look at a subject’s background. This includes database results ran from two (2) different databases, a brief Internet Profile of the subject’s possible Internet Activities, interviews with three (3) of the subject’s associates and two (2) of the subject’s relatives, a national asset search, heavy emphasis is put on criminal record and civil history research, and a summary report is developed detailing the subject’s background.

A CNA simply means Customer Name and Address. This service takes a phone number, whether it is a cellular number or a land line and reveals the name on the account for that number. This service also provides a tremendous amount of information about the phone number itself, such as the carrier, the central office location and name, and more.

A Company Profile Report is a background report on a business. This includes the business’s credit history, UCC Filings, assets, company executives, cursory background information on each company executive, business structure, D.B.A.s, affiliate companies, any public filings on the company, and an exhaustive news search on the company. All data is verified through multiple sources for data integrity, the generated report is usually pretty extensive, expect between fifty (50) to one hundred and fifty (150) pages of information in an RMRI, Inc. Company Profile Report. This search is exhaustive; this search can take up to three (3) days to complete.

A Criminal Defense Investigation encompasses many services offered by a Private Investigator in most cases. A Criminal Defense Investigation always entails tremendous amounts of reading and reviewing reports, case research and intense scrutiny of the various records and reports that have been generated. Case organization is KEY when working these types of cases. The Private Investigator must have a well rounded knowledge of the various areas of Private Investigation work.
